So I often leave my garage door open, and occasionally a stray dog
or turtle strolls in. (Yes a fat box turtle quietly shifting things
like a ghost really entered my garage once). Tonight was not
different; I put out the garbage and see a dog chillin' by my computer
to get out of the rain. Well, it looks like his tags slipped out
of the hook on his collar, so I didn't have any contact info. He
seemed really friendly so I brought him upstairs to greet the
family. We play a bit then I put him in the backyard. I
call Marilyn to ask if she bought a new dog, which of course she had
not, and suggested she get home to see our new furry friend. Well
I figured I don't want this gentle create to get hit by a car, so I'll
hold on to him and put a Lost Dog sign
outside my house.
And here's cute little Staffie!
He really want to come in and meet you

That's a picture of this talented dog jumping (that's only half way up)
I looked up the breed online and it say Staffordshire Bull
Terrier. They're really good with kids.
So Marilyn comes home, I've got the dog in the garage now, and she
can't wait to see the pup. She wasn't too happy too see him.
This is the dog I described to her:
It seems this breed is often called a "Pit Bull". And no, the
"pit" part isn't related to a tasty barbecue pit. It's actually
sporting event where certain Americans like to challenge their dogs to
a vicious fight-to-the-death tournament. I'm kind of glad I
didn't leave the kids to play with him while I mowed the lawn.
I don't mind him hanging out in the garage since I can't work with the
doors shut, but I accidentally let that sneaky critter back in one more
time. Ooops--at least no fingers or limbs were lost. Ahhh,
this was
one of the nicest dogs I've met.
No answer at the dog pound so I'll ring them again in the A.M.
I'm expecting the dog will still be here in the morning. It's
been patrolling my house all night. I know it can jump the fence,
so there's not much else I can do.
