Vacation to Isle Verde, Puerto Rico

Snorkeling Pics

At a local bar (the Blue Dolphin)

Friendly dog with dred locks.

Lupi's $35 Margarita.

The superbowl commercials weren't the same in Puerto Rico.

They made a drink in honor of Marilyn

El Parque de los Palmos (The Pidgeon park)

This is the great 'El Morro' fort.

It's a hell of  a walk.

Enter la Casa Bacardi (they make millions of gallons of rum here)

Little known fact: Rum is actually a dairy product.

The tour is crazy--more history about bacardi than you ever wish to know.  And no pictures inside.  But free drinks at the end!  The fifth graders love this field trip.

This is not Ron Bacardi.  Ron actually means rum, and the spanish put their adjectives after the noun--Ron Bacardi=Bacardi Rum.

After you leave the factory, you have to wait for the ferry in Catano.  It's not a hip, wealthy area, but you can get a beer for $.75 at one of the local dives.  And watch spanish soap operas with the under-employed patrons.

Here's the ferry from Catano--you want to leave Catano before dark.

Marine Security

Here's a nice place to eat and drink in the street, but not in the rest of  SJ.

I heard they have great meat at Flamer's

It's really easy to open this bathroom without a quarter.

I got a stack of change to play lethal enforcers, but it turns out it has been out-of-order for many decades.  I heard they just got Lethal Enforcers at TimeOut in the mall.

Yummy airplane food.
