St. Patrick's Day, 2002, Little Manhattan

Unfortunately I set my camera to blurry mode for these first pictures, but that funny little Irishman in this picture is not a leprechaun.  No, it's today's biggest celebrity--and he's all about Long Island.  It's Bob Buchman, former head-honcho at the local radio station, WBAB.  Now he's programming Q104.3, the station that sounds just like WBAB.  Everyone seems to know him except for me.  It was an honor and a priviledge to meet him.  Now if he would only get Finger's metal shop on seven nights a week.

Dump trucks, the focal point of any good parade.

Boy scouts givin' props to the U.S.A.

Give it up for the St. James water district.

Unfortunately, the camera is still in blurry mode, otherwise you could see Randy--waving out the window in the center row of the bus.

That youngster can dance better than Vanilla Ice.

Nothin' tops the classic irish meal better than chocolate milk.

This year's pipe band was crankin' out in NYC, so their younger sibling performed for us instead.

The unusual classic St Patrick's day meal served at the PI, SPAM.

GUINNESS, The King Of Beers.

A fine little leprechaun.

Accidents do happen.

Dave lost his contacts under one of the kegs.

Irish Elegance.

Tryouts for the role of Woo in the clubhouse.

Kenny Krummenacker.

Carl Waltz

That cashier lady.

Elaine.

A whole shitload of people we don't know.

Kenny's cousin.

Mighty John

Grillo.

Third Place.
Koolnesss

Second place:
Elton John

And the winner is:

A cancer ridden monkey named Dickey.

Naturally, no one can replace the Woo in the clubhouse, but damn it, Dickey is one charming mother f-er.

Dave trying to make a quick exit from the bar.

These two got here a little late for the parade.

What is this?

?????

Ahhh, fun and games.
